Each year we hope to hold a football match for Jimmy's Memorial Cup, the proceeds of which will go to the charity. This year was a wonderful success!  Swindon Town came to Redditch United for a great match on Saturday July 17th 2004.

Nearly 1,600 supporters, including many from his clubs Manchester United and Watford, packed out the Valley Stadium in Redditch to watch the Home Team play Swindon. The event, organised by Jimmy's family,  raised £10, 205.45 for the Memorial Fund. Hosts Redditch United donated the proceeds from the ticket sales to the fund, and an auction of signed shirts and other football memorabilia also raised nearly £3,000. A Manchester United shirt signed by Roy Keane was sold for £951.  Jimmy's younger brother, Ryan, raised £30 by buying a ball signed by Watford's first team.   In an unexpected yet interesting turn of events Mark Hemmings boosted the fund by £100 in a second half streak!!!!    At the end of the match  Swindon Town won 2 -1!
